Album - All’inizio di questo viaggio ero sicura di voler seguire una nuova rotta ed avevo chiare due cose: lavorare in modo diverso sui testi cercando un linguaggio più narrativo (“In un soffio” e “Torno a casa a piedi” su tutte) e allargare i miei orizzonti musicali collaborando con un musicista/produttore in grado di fare questo.
Saverio Lanza (*), con il quale condivido tutte le musiche di questo album, nonostante sulla carta potesse apparire lontanissimo dal mio mondo, si è invece rivelato fondamentale e sorprendente. Ha creato spazi sonori incredibili aiutandomi a realizzare il sogno musicale di questo nuovo album: aggiungere colori alla mia musica.
“TORNO A CASA A PIEDI” è un album che celebra la vita attraverso piccole istantanee. Osservando la scena ho cercato di ritrarla con leggerezza ed ironia . E’ un album musicalmente ricco, sfaccettato, ma anche lieve e luminoso.
Ritornano i temi e le luci della città.
Non ho certo smesso di frequentare i centri urbani da quando nel 1993 mi sono trasferita in un paese di montagna che conta 700 abitanti, ma mai come in questo momento faccio i conti con i ricordi e i paragoni tra i due stili di vita.
Tirando le somme ad oggi sento di non appartenere a nessuna delle due dimensioni o per meglio dire sono fatta in parti eguali di entrambe le realtà.
Tornare a casa a piedi è una scelta, non un imprevisto, è per me sinonimo di liberazione ed anche simbolo di libertà. E’ un momento di riflessione, di indipendenza, di autonomia. Durante lo spostamento a piedi è possibile osservare con più tranquillità le cose. Si possono meglio cogliere i dettagli che compongono la realtà, dove ogni scontata normalità nasconde, quasi sempre, lo straordinario, nel bene e nel male.
LE CANZONI

Miracoli diventa manifesto d’intenzioni per l’album. Una serie di piccoli “gesti” quotidiani fatti di normalità che creano eventi straordinari.
La frase che apre la canzone “Io credo nei miracoli che la gente può fare, milioni di chilometri per potersi incontrare, per guardarsi negli occhi e spiegare un errore, per un gesto che forse sarà l’unico che potremo ricordare” è ispirato al film di David Lynch “Una storia vera”.
UN ESERCITO DI ALBERI
Un esercito di alberi al vento sei tu,
proteggi la mia testa da pensieri inutili e mi basta.
E’ un brano che dedico ai due uomini della mia vita: mio marito e mio figlio. Mi piace che la parola “Esercito” supporti un’immagine di bellezza, l’imponente bellezza corale di un bosco infinito mosso dal vento.
