Libri - Quanti sono finiti a passaggiare sui rasoi di un'esistenza torbida ed esaltante negli anni dell'università?

Quanti giovani borghesi di noiosa famiglia hanno sperimentato l'ebrezza lussoriosa e cupa della vacuità del mondo?

Il nulla è esistito nei giorni agrodolci di molti inesperti bohemien e aveva lo sguardo intrigante del famoso

ritratto di Jim Morrison, il suono del rock più consapevole e il sapore del quarto negroni delle sette e trenta (p.m.).

Forse proprio in quei momenti i vecchi senza esperienza (leggi i giovani borghesi) hanno scoperto che il mondo,

come lo conosciamo negli anni zero è un'inculata senza vaselina che arriva da dietro, dai nati vincenti,

dai vecchi stronzi, dai fottuti figli di e raccomandati vari. "Non è il tempo che perde, non sono le zanzare,

non è il cibo meschino, non basterebbe a un cane, non è il nulla del giorno che piano sprofonda nel vuoto

della notte. Sono le menzogne! Che ti rodono l'anima." (A sangue freddo, Il teatro degli orrori)

E' ovvio che non basta lamentarsi, bisogna lottare per sconfiggere il nulla dei giorni nostri e ci vuole impegno:

cultura, condivisione, coraggio.

Questo impegno manca nello sconfitto Giorgio, protagonista del romanzo "Il passato è una terra straniera" di Gianrico Carofiglio.

Troppo impegno e poca grazia per il co-protagonista Francesco, biscazziere, truffaldino, baro e pure peggio. Il coraggio è assente nelle

giornate tormentate dell'antagonista, il giovane tenente Chiti. Nessuna pietà per questi tre personaggi che animano un romanzo eccellente che si fa

divorare nonostante la collocazione storico-geografica nel

quale è ambientato: una terrificante Bari di fine anni Ottanta. Bari potrebbe essere la personificazione del decennio (gli ottanta) più kitsch

della storia italiana. Una città bella come Umberto Smaila e interessante come Colpo Grosso ai tempi di youporn.

Un libro da leggere e che si fa leggere.
