Spettacolo - Martedì 3 marzo, alle ore 21.00, anima il palco del Teatro della Tosse un grande evento – concerto per festeggiare vent’anni di attività dell’Orchestra Bailam:
sul palco insieme a Franco Minelli (chitarra, bouzouky, baglamas, oud), Edmondo Romano (sax soprano, clarinetti, flauti, cornamusa), Roberto Piga (violino), Luca Montagliani (fisarmonica), Tommaso Rolando (basso, contrabbasso), Luciano Ventriglia (batteria, derbouka, voce) - le anime storiche della Bailam – si esibiranno numerosi ospiti che, nel tempo, hanno collaborato creativamente al progetto musicale di questo apprezzatissimo gruppo genovese. L’attore Enrico Campanati, presentatore della serata, introdurrà via via Marco Beasley, Roberta Alloisio, Eyal Lerner, Arcotrafficanti, Marco Fadda, Marica Pellegrini, Ailema, Carla Peiroleiro, Gruppo Almudena, per citare i principali protagonisti della kermesse.
Serata densa e ricca di sorprese, quindi, in cui anche il pubblico avrà modo di “lasciare il segno”: lo spettacolo darà infatti vita, in “presa diretta”, ad un CD e DVD live dal titolo HAREM che verrà pubblicato in primavera grazie all’etichetta FELMAY.
La scaletta della serata sarà composta, come si conviene all’occasione, con una selezione del“meglio di”: un inconfondibile e travolgente repertorio rigorosamente acustico proiettato verso la musica klezmer, i tempi dispari dei balcani, la musica greco-turca, quella araba e proprie composizioni. Un concerto dinamico, coinvolgente e divertente, tipico delle piccole orchestre mediterranee, che in questi 20 anni ha fatto ballare migliaia di persone.
Fra gli album all’attivo: “Mamma li turchi” (’91 SudNord), “Bailamme” (’01 World Music), “Non occidentalizzarti” (’06 Felmay). Hanno musicato e recitato in diversi spettacoli teatrali ( Butterfly Bazar e Moka Cabaret, Il mare negli occhi per Chanceeventi, hanno collaborato con i Cavalli Marci, prendono parte al film Tandem con Bizzarri e Kessisoglou…) e suonato in moltissime rassegne di musica klezmer in Italia e all’estero ( Francia, Germania, Spagna…).
Dal 2005 si sono esibiti in Russia, Crimea, Siberia, Turchia come rappresentanti della città di Genova - Città della Cultura 2004. Nel 2007 è uscito il cd di ricerca sulla canzone genovese “Lengua Serpentina” (CNIndie) con la cantante Roberta Alloisio, che ha riscosso ottimi consensi di pubblico e di critica.
Una serata imperdibile per tutti coloro che già conoscono l’Orchestra Bailam e voglio festeggiare insieme questo traguardo ventennale, un’ottima occasione per conoscerla al meglio ed esserne qausi sicuramente travolti per tutti gli altri.
