Sì, è vero sono un po' trasformista, in uno spettacolo teatrale in cui ero attrice in passato c' era una scena nella quale cambiavo 4 personaggi di seguito nell'arco di pochissimi minuti.

Parliamo del disco “Dico a tutti così”: collaborazioni prestigiose, da Cesare Basile a Davide Toffolo dei Tre Allegri Ragazzi Morti. Come funziona tra cantautori alzi la cornetta e dici: “Ciao Cesare sono Roberta “Bob” Carrieri, suoni il banjo nel mio disco?”, esattamente come funziona?
Tutti gli ospiti che hanno partecipato a "Dico a tutti così" sono miei amici..funziona così tra cantautori e musicisti, si condividono palchi, backstages, viaggi e bar e poi si finisce a suonare insieme. Tra l' altro lo studio in cui ho registrato il disco era lo studio di Basile quindi nel suo caso (e nel caso del violino di Rodrigo d' Erasmo che suonava con lui) è capitato che Cesare ci passasse a trovare di tanto in tanto e di conseguenza è venuto spontaneo che interagisse con la mie canzoni regalandomi quel preziosissimo banjo di cui parli ma anche un armonica a bocca, un dobro e qualche chitarra acustica. Anche per gli altri ospiti è successo più o meno così. Con Davide Toffolo invece in quel periodo stavamo girando con la performance "Très" (un 'esperimento di interazione fra disegno e musica legata alla presentazione del suo libro "Très" ) ed era spesso a Milano. Anche lì è venuto automatico.
Che cosa si può trovare nell’album? Quali colori, quali emozioni?
"Dico a tutti così" è un disco spesso ermetico e lunare con qualche episodio piu allegro e diretto (come nelle canzoni Bianca e Tu che sei). In realtà è una scelta di pezzi che mi sembravano i piu rappresentativi tra le tantissime canzoni che avevo scritto dopo l' esperienza Quarta Parete nel periodo in cui mi sono trasferita da Bari a Milano e nei primi anni di questa vita in una nuova e misteriosa città. il colore e l'emozione dominanti potrebbero essere il blu e la malinconia. Ma solo quelli dominanti.
Ci racconti come nascono le tue canzoni, cosa riesce a muovere la tua mano e a farle scrivere i testi e le note dei tuoi pezzi?
Le mie canzoni partono da input della mia vita personale misti alla mia fantasia galoppante e ad una gioia di raccontare e condividere con chi mi ascolta. si tratta di una specie di diario fantasioso in cui quello che vivo in prima persona si mescola a quello che vedo gli altri vivere, questo per quanto riguarda le parole. La musica invece è frutto di un gioco improvvisativo nel quale mi diverto molto.
Parliamo di te: che cosa ti ha spinto a scegliere il periglioso percorso artistico?
Mi era impossibile fare altro! ci ho provato anche! ..Però piangevo di tristezza. Invece così sono felice. E io vado dove sorrido.
Qual era la tua materia preferita a scuola?
Andavo pazza per il greco classico e la letteratura greca (tant' è che poi ho imparato anche il greco moderno..) ma mi piacevano anche il latino e la letteratura latina, come anche la letteratura italiana e francese..insomma..le materie umanistiche. Invece in matematica, fisica, chimica ero una frana. La matematica ho smesso di studiarla alle medie e i professori si sono arresi e non mi interrogavano neanche piu! forse per questo non sono ricca.. perchè non so "calcolare"! (scherzo ovviamente)
Cosa ti è rimasto di positivo o cosa di negativo del sud e in particolare di Bari?
Di positivo una grande spontaneità e di negativo un po' di aggressività. Sono anche molto passionale, che sembra un luogo comune ma invece forse è proprio una qualità "mediterranea". Di Bari mi è rimasto anche un po di accento..sì capisciut??! e una gran voglia di cozze, focaccia e mozzarelle.
Ci dici almeno cinque dischi che non possono mancare nella libreria di casa?
nella libreria di casa mia: Grindermann il primo disco, Nick Cave Murder Ballads, With the Beatles dei Beatles (ma ne ho preso uno a caso perchè mi piacciono tutti), Johhny Cash, La musica Rembetika greca e Beyoncè (!) uff...devo proprio dire i titoli precisi dei dischi?? no dai..mi piacciono come artisti in toto. (Beyoncè non proprio in toto..)..e poi cosi sono 6. Ah, poi vado pazza per Adam Ant..e cosi sono 7.
